Unfortunately we feel that there is not sufficient momentum and support behind Combe Sunday this year to enable it to be a success and so have decided to abort plans to stage the event this May.

Whilst there has been no negativity or objection to any of our plans for this year, we are an entirely voluntary group and we rely on a strong wave of community support and commitment to stage Combe Sunday. This year the wave has not been strong enough to float the Combe Sunday boat!

We also believe it’s best to either put the event on with momentum, or not do it at all, to ensure the event is a success when it does happen.

We have empathy with anyone who is disappointed by this news and would like to thank the people who have put in effort so far.

We hope you will still be with us next time.
